Ficano Trio Raised Campaign Funds While on County Clock

The Free Press found three Wayne County employees whose taxpayer-funded jobs mainly meant raising cash for county Executive Robert Ficano. Such work is forbidden by law, and, on top of months of stories about possible legal and ethical lapses in county government, raises yet more questions about Ficano's ability to remain in office.
