There's a new football Bowl in town and it has got a new name.

Bill Shea of Crain's Detroit Business reports that the new bowl, that replaces the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl at Ford Field, will be called the Quick Lane Bowl. The game will be played Dec. 26.

Shea writes that Quick Lane Tire & Auto Centers is the Dearborn-based chain of more than 700 auto service outlets created by Ford Motor Co. for its Ford and Lincoln dealerships.

The Ford family owns the Detroit Lions, organizers of the bowl, Shea writes.

Crain's reports that Quicken Loans was interested in the naming rights, but wasn't able to work out a deal. -- A.L.
