Roberts Imposes Contract On Detroit Teachers; Union Calls It "Tyranny"

Roy Roberts, emergency manager of the Detroit Public Schools, has told the teachers' union it has a new contract.

Roberts has the power to impose contracts under Michigan's controversial Public Act 4.  

DFT president Keith Johnson told WWJ-AM the move is an “act of tyranny” and said the union and teachers won’t take it sitting down. If nothing changes, Johnson says they won’t guarantee that school will start on time.
