Hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski of MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' have taken the show on the road to Detroit this morning to talk to some of the local leaders about Detroit's come back.

Gov. Rick Snyder, Wayne State University President M. Roy Wilson and former Mayor Dennis Archer were among guests talking about the improvements in Detroit. Other guests included Michael Bloomberg, Warren Buffett, Goldman Sachs’ Lloyd Blankfein and Senior White House Advisor Valerie Jarrett.

Snyder addressed the long-time divide between Detroit and the rest of Michigan, saying that seems to be going away. "Regionalism is working," he said.

"I hope people are proud all across Michigan of what's going on here," Snyder added. " People are excited. Young professionals are viewing Detroit as the place to be in the country right now."

Archer talked up Detroit, and then in his trademark politically discreet way, said of Kwame Kilpatrick: "My successor got off course."

Scarborough joined the love-in, saying there's a lot of growth. He mentioned the M-1 rail and the new hockey arena.

The show came during a "Detroit Homecoming" conference sponsored by Crain's Detroit Business for more than 120 professionals who left the area.
