The killing of crime witnesses is been a big, big problem in major cities across the nation.
On Thursday, a 24-year-old man was murdered on Detroit's northwest side, and the mother thinks it was because he was going to testify against the people who robbed him, WXYZ reports.
Officers say Dennis Shelby was fatally shot around 2 a.m. at a home at Roselawn and Norfolk, near 8 Mile and Livernois in what police are describing as a drive-by shooting, WXYZ reports.
Shelby's mother tells 7 Action News that her son was killed because he was going to testify against some men who robbed him at gunpoint. She says they took his medication after he got home from the doctors.
