Amid the Heat, a 2-Year-Old Boy Drowns in a Detroit Pool

In midst of the hot weather on Friday, a 2-year-old boy drowned in a backyard pool on Detroit's west side.

WDIV reports that Jomone Davis was found face down in the pool at a home on on Evergreen Road between Plymouth Road and West Chicago Street.
The boy's mother first asked where her son was. Then the search was on.
The boy's aunt Shalonda Kinchen said:

“I was searching the front yard and then my sister and my mother went into the backyard and seen him face first in the pool."
