Ouch! Lowe Campbell Ewald Loses Cadillac Account

Advertising agency, Lowe Campbell Ewald, which moved from the suburbs to Detroit in January, got some harsh news: It has lost the the $280 million Cadillac account, Crain's Detroit Business reports.

Bill Shea writes:

Cadillac made the announcement via an online statement this afternoon that it will shift from New York Interpublic Group of Cos. — one of the world’s four major advertising holding companies and parent of Lowe Campbell Ewald — to Paris-based Publicis Groupe SA, one of the other mega-ad conglomerates.

Lowe Campbell Ewald CEO Jim Palmer issued a statement Thursday, according to Crain's: 

“While it’s the nature of our business for clients to move to other agencies, this decision was still unexpected, not to mention very hard on those of us who have poured our love of the brand and our nonstop hard work into this partnership for the past 18 months."
