Legendary Fed Judge Damon Keith Honored as He Turns 90
U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Damon Keith of Detroit will always be known for his ruling during the Nixon years that prohibited the feds from warrantless wiretaps.
But he's also known as a kind man who is concerned about community.
On Sunday, the Hartford Memorial Baptist Church in Detroit paid tribute to his contributions for his 90th birthday, the Detroit News reports. He was born on July 4.
Luminaries on hand included included former Tigers star Willie Horton, U.S. Congressman John Conyers, Judge Craig Strong and former law partner Nate Conyers and nephew, Luther Keith, a former Detroit News editor.
