Senior year in high school is supposed to be fun.

Not so for former Detroit Cass Tech football star Jayru Campbell.

On Wednesday, Campbell, 17, was sentenced to one year probation in Wayne County Circuit Court stemming from a September incident at his high school involving his then-girlfriend, who he pushed to the ground and took her cell phone,  WWJ reports.

The incident happened just hours after he'd been released from jail after serving 60 days for body slamming a security guard.

Campbell will start serving his probation after he's released from jail after serving seven months for violating probation.

Campbell violated probation when he assaulted his girlfriend at the school. He had been on probation after serving his sentence for body slamming the security guard.

WWJ reports that Judge Ruth Carter on Wednesday also ordered Campbell to be tested for steroid use, undergo a psychiatric evaluation, attend anger management classes and enter into a mentoring program run by former Detroit Mayor Dave Bing, who was present for sentencing.

Confusing?

Sort of.
