Thanks to Washington, Lions Make the Playoffs for Second Time Since 1999

It's hard to love the Washington Redskins.

The owner, Dan Snyder, is simply not a likeable guy. And besides, he refuses to change the name of the team despite an outcry that it is offensive to many native Americans.

That being said, Saturday was time for Lions fans to love the Washington Redskins.

The Redskins upset the Philadelphia Eagles 27-24 at FedEx Field in suburban D.C., opening the way for the Lions to enter the playoff for the second time since 1999. The team was last in the playoffs in 2011.

Ok, let 's face it. These Lions are good, but they're not the greatest team.

No honest Lions fan expets the team to go far in the playoffs.

Still, it sure feels good to be in the playoffs.
