It's rare that there's this kind of violence at the Detroit-Windsor tunnel.
But Sunday around 3 a.m., a Customs and Border Protection officer shot and wounded an armed man at the Ambassador Bridge, WXYZ reports.
WXYZ reports that the man tried to enter the U.S. via the bridge and stopped his car before reaching the inspection booth. He then got out of the car and started walking toward the inspection booth, waving a handgun.
He was ordered to put down the gun, but he pointed it at officers, who opened fire, WXYZ reported. He was treated and released from the hospital and is custody.
