CATCH to honor Tigers broadcasting great Paul Carey

For 19 years Paul Carey was the second-best baseball broadcaster in Detroit. He was only second-best because his broadcast partner Ernie Harwell was a bona fide legend. Carey's play-by-play was, in its own right, a joy to listen to.
CATCH, the charity launched by Sparky Anderson with Paul Carey's help in 1987, will honor Carey at it's annual banquet this weekend with their "Doc Fenkell Excellence in Media Award." -- JTW
