The fourth and final suspect in the shooting and attempted home invasion last year of Bloomfield Hills attorney David Zack was sentenced Monday in Oakland County Circuit Court to one year in jail.

Dave Phillips of the Oakland Press reports that  Christopher Hernandez-Montiel was sentenced with credit for time served. He apologized for his role in the shooting. He'll be eligible for release in about six months.

The Oakland Press reports Hernandez-Montiel had pleaded guilty and cooperated with authorities. He said during a preliminary exam that he picked up the other three suspects on April 30 and drove them to Zacks’ home on Woodwind Drive in Bloomfield Hills.

When they figured out people were home,Hernandez-Montiel drove them to Detroit to get a gun and then drove them back to the Zacks' home. Zacks and his family were in the house.

Three of the defendants got out the car and he soon heard a gunshot. The other defendants also pleaded guilty in the case, the paper reported. Zacks was seriously wounded but later recovered after being shot through the front door several times.

Devon Dominique Miller, who was accused of shooting Zacks four times, was sentenced to 32 to 62 years in prison, the paper reported. Cassandra Lynne Chobod, who knew Zacks from working at a topless club in Dearborn, and was accused of being mastermind behind the plan, got 15 to 40 years in prison.

Henry Louis Williams was sentenced to 23 to 50 years in prison after pleading guilty to armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and conspiracy to commit home invasion.
