The dead man in this case is unlikely to get much sympathy.
Holly Fournier and Tom Greenwood of the Detroit News report that a homeowner shot and killed an armed suspect in a home invasion Thursday around 4:45 a.m. in the 15000 block of Flanders.
“The defendant entered the home through a window and had a firearm with him,” Police Chief Jeff Smith said, according to the News. “The house was occupied by a man and his wife. He had a legal firearm and confronted the intruder. He ended up shooting him and the defendant died at the scene.”
