Lucy Grandolph, who was a senior at Michigan State University last year, tells Fox 2 about being raped during Spring break in Mexico in 2014. She hopes the incident makes others more cautious when going on college trips.

"Instead of these girls being unaware I think it's smarter to know this does happen," said Gradolph tells Fox 2's Taryn Asher.

She says she went with a big group to Cabo, Mexico last March.

"I had been to Cabo many, many times," she said. "The entire Michigan State crew was there. Literally I think there was 200 of us."

But on March 7, the last day of her vacation, things went very wrong.

She explained that the friend she came wit, left with a guy, so she caught a cab on her own.

She told Fox 2 that a man she thought worked security at the club she was it hailed her a cab.

"Right as I got into the cab, and it was a legitimate cab - they had the meter, they had everything - he got into the cab behind me," she said. "And right at that moment I was kind of like, 'This is not right.'"

She told Fox 2 the man began groping her.

She pleaded with the corrupt cab driver to take her to her hotel, but  instead Lucy said the driver and the man who kidnapped her, spoke in Spanish about whether to kill her. They drove her to a desolate area and both raped her.

Eventually, she told Fox 2,  a vehicle pulled up, the two attackers got spooked and took off.

She ran to a hotel for help. She reported the attack to authorities and was later treated at a hospital in Los Angeles. Taryn Asher reports that the attackers have not been arrested.
