Two local men are included in a hit list of 100 U.S. military members supposedly posted by ISIS over the weekend.

Taryn Asher of Fox 2 reports that hackers claiming to have ties to the terror group posted the hit list, which includes photos and home addresses. ISIS reportedly has encouraged followers to harm the people on the list on U.S. soil. One of the military members is from Oakland County and the other is from Wayne County.

Fox 2 reports that the Pentagon has notified all of the members on the list.

Fox 2 reports that the group that posted the info calls itself the Islamic State Hacking Division. The group claims it was able to get information by breaching military protections.

But Helene Cooper and Michael Schmidt of The New York Times report:

It does not appear that the information had been hacked from government servers. One Defense Department official, who was not authorized to speak publicly, said that most of the information could be found in public records, residential address search sites and social media.

The officials said the list appears to be drawn from personnel who have appeared in news articles about airstrikes on the militant group.

Some of the names also appear to be drawn from the Defense Department’s own official reports on the campaign against the Islamic State, also known as ISIS and ISIL.

The New York Times reported that the group encouraged people to take action.

"With the huge amount of data we have from various different servers and databases, we have decided to leak 100 addresses so that our brothers in America can deal with you,” the Islamic State’s so-called Hacking Division said in the web posting, according to the Times.

It added: “And now we have made it easy for you by giving you addresses, all you need to do is take the final step, so what are you waiting for?”

Dan Roberts, former special agent in charge of the Detroit FBI, told Fox 2:

"I do know the FBI has been coordinating with the state and local police agencies where those two targets live. They have been passing all the intelligence, just to make sure that everyone is safe with those families. At this stage, it was pretty nonspecific, general threat so you can increase local patrols around there. If it got more than that, they would certainly put 24-hour surveillance."
