Online dating can be deadly.

Ingrid Kelley of Fox 2 reports that Bria Corrine-Janelle Blackmon, 20, of Madison Heights was charged Tuesday with murdering a Sterling Heights retiree she dated after meeting on Craigslist.

Blackmon is accused of killing Michael Scott Freeland, 57. Sterling Heights Police tell Fox 2 that she allegedly set fire to his house in the 37200 block of Andrew in Sterling Heights on March 27 and that robbery was a factor.

Authorities said that Feeland's body was inside the house and that he had been dead prior to the fire, Fox 2 reports.

Blackmon was arraigned Tuesday in 41A District Court on charges of first-degree murder, felony murder, armed robbery, and illegal use of a financial transaction device, the Macomb Daily reported.

She is being held without bond in the Macomb County Jail.
