The popular Bronx Bar in the Wayne State University area is shut temporarily after the facade of a neighboring apartment building collapsed and ripped through the rear of the bar last Thursday night, Motor City Muckraker reports.
Bricks damaged the kitchen and a bathroom of the bar at Second and Prentis. No one was hurt. The Bronx could reopen by this weekend. Neavling says.
Another Midtown hangout tweets this with good-natured humor (we charitably assume):
We just wanna wish Bronx Bar a speedy recovery. Seriously. Please open back up b/c all ur customers are here tonight and they're assholes.
