Apparently some fans don't think Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander should be having too much fun while he's on the disabled list, particularly when it comes to galavanting about in Chicago with his love interest, model Kate Upton.
Lynn Henning of the Detroit News reports that Verlander was spotted and photographed with Upton, in Chicago, where the Tigers begin a three-game series Tuesday night. And some fans didn't approve. Verlander had some fun on Instagram responding to their disapproval.
Henning writes:
Various fans were indignant that a Tigers star right-hander, who has not pitched in a regular-season game because of a strained triceps, was cavorting in the Windy City with his romantic interest.
Verlander's retort:
"Dear haters … I have heard you. Therefore since I have done all of the rehab I can possibly do already I shall not move from my bed nor enjoy my life whatsoever for the rest of the day so you think I'm trying."
