Berry Gordy's Mansion in Boston-Edison Is Up For Sale for $1.3 Million

A big piece of Motown history is up for sale.

The "Motown Mansion," a longtime home of Motown's  Berry Gordy, is available., Lauren Abdel-Razzaq writes in The Detroit News. It's now owned by Cynthia Reaves, who did restoration work after buying it in 2002.

The 10,500-square-foot Boston-Edison District home is on 2.2 acres and is listed for $1.295 million, the paper says.

“We’ve had quite a bit of interest from potential buyers already and it hasn’t even been listed 24 hours,” Deborah Smith of Keller Williams Realty tells The News. “We’re very optimistic about securing that price and finding a buyer who appreciates the house and who wants to carry on that legacy."
