Michigan defensive back Jabrill Peppers made some less than flattering comments about the NCAA’s treatment of athletes on Twitter.
According to Bleacher Report, Peppers, who only has one career start as a Wolverine thus far due to injury, tweeted Tuesday about how he couldn't afford to eat enough meals to satisfy his hunger because the stipend checks aren't big enough.
Idk how the NCAA thinks we supposed to eat right with these lil indentured servant checks they give us..I Should've stayed in the dorms smh

A few minutes later he tweeted about his inadequate first meal of the day.
I'm about to eat my first meal of the day & that's Oodles and noodles smh

The tweet that put the entire battle between athletes and the NCAA into perspective was when he said, “I just wanna keep my fridge & cabinets full so I can eat. Point blank.”
People make a story out of anything. Idc about getting paid, I just wanna keep my fridge & cabinets full so I can eat. Point blank.

Although there continues to be differing opinions on whether NCAA players should be paid, it’s clear that none of these athletes should be going hungry. -- Bryce Huffman
