Another Midtown Detroit building is slated for renovation.

Lindsay Vanhulle of Crain's Detroit Business reports that a developer wants to transform the vacant apartment building at 678 Selden, between Second Avenue and Third Street, into new commercial and residential space.

Crain's reports that the company, 678 Selden LLC, plans to invest almost $3.7 million in the building.

The Michigan Economic Development Corp.'s Michigan Strategic Fund has awarded the project a $670,210 performance-based grant, plus the city of Detroit also has offered an incentive worth nearly $411,000 under the state’s Obsolete Property Rehabilitation Act, Crain's writes.
