Will Suburban Voters In John Conyers' New District Reject Him?
U.S. Rep. John Conyers has served in Congress since 1964, but his days on the hill could be numbered.
The enigmatic Conyers, has the toughest re-election fight on his hands in 18 years. He is known as a bad campaigner, and he refuses to take part in debates.
But he is not lacking in confidence.
"I have the most accomplished record of anybody in the House from a people's point a view," he told Kathleen Gray of the Free Press.
Conyers is the husband of former Detroit City Councilwoman Monica Conyers, who is serving a prison term for corruption.
