Delmon Young Needs to Chill Out More: Suspended for 7 Days

Delmon Young

Uncaged Tiger Delmon Young needs to chill and be reflective. And guess what, he'll have time to do both.

Major League baseball announced Monday he was being suspended for seven days for his drunken tirade in the Big Apple in which he got into  physical confrontation with someone and started yelling anti-semitic remarks, according to Fox News. The suspension will be retroactive to April 27. He will be eligible for reinstatement May 4.

"Those associated with our game should meet the responsibilities and standards that stem from our game's stature as a social institution. An incident like this cannot and will not be tolerated," said MLB commissioner Bud Selig. "I understand that Mr. Young is regretful, and it is my expectation that he will learn from this unfortunate episode."
