Allyson Martinek of the "Blaine & Allyson" morning show on WDVD-FM is no more.

The adult contemporary station in Detroit's Fisher Building gave her the ax, Susan Whitall of The Detroit News reports.

The other half of the team, Blaine Fowler, will stay. So will producers  Matt Laurinec and Joe Santos. An internal memo issued by Cumulus Media, owner of the station, said a  fourth talent will be hired for the team, The News says.

Dozens of fans share words of admiration, sympathy and support at her Facebook page, where Martinek, 45, posted Monday night:

"i just want to say how much i will truly miss talking to you every morning. it has been my pleasure and i thank you for all the support and friendship. i hope its not long before we talk again. BIG hugs and kisses from the bottom of my heart........:)"
