Dearborn-based Carhartt, known for its durable work wear that has become fashionable, plans to opening its first Detroit store Aug. 27, The Detroit News reports.
The company filed a petition with the Detroit City Council to stage a grand opening at 5800 Cass Ave., Louis Aguilar writes. Crews are working on the historic building alongside the north edge of Wayne State University.
