See a Small Car Plow Through A Big Cake

Get ready -- another shot-in-Detroit car commercial is coming our way.

Instead of a sleek Chrysler slowly prowling around Woodward, this time the creatives take a more, umm, “festive” approach.

Below, find a Ford Fusion driving directly through a huge birthday cake at Washington and Clifford in downtown Detroit.

Of course, this isn’t the finished product. Similar to when we shot video of the Transformers shoots out of our window, this is the view from the PishPosh.Tv studio.

Word on the street is that the commercial is being shot by The Work Inc., a Detroit-based agency. In a moment of journalistic fact-checking, I poked my head out the window and yelled: "Hey, are you guys with The Work?". A bearded fellow in a black T-shirt looked at me for several moments, replied "Yup" and then carried on with his day.

Earlier, when the film crew saw us pointing cameras at them, they asked us if we were with their crew, to which we responded: "Nope".

Good thing a picture is worth a thousand words, because apparently our crews don't have much to say to each other.

And, in case you need a second slice, here's more cake, shot by Jerry Paffendorf of Loveland Technologies.
