A 29-year-old woman was charged Thursday with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of a 50-year-old grandmother on a DDOT bus on Wednesday afternoon, WXYZ reports.

Kimberly Craig of WXYZ reports that Tiffanie Edwards has been charged in the murder.  She is expected to be arraigned on Friday.

Police had been searching for Edwards after she fled the scene. She surrendered to police on Thursday, WXYZ reports.

Authorities reported that the incident happened at W. Grand Blvd. and Rosa Parks on Wednesday afternoon after the victim and the attacker got into an argument.

Police say the argument may have been the result of  the 50-year old woman accidentally bumping into the attacker.
