Video: Driver Sets Gas Station on Fire to Kill Spider; Fox 2 Calls It 'Moronic'

This is a multiple choice test.  One answer is clearly wrong.

You're extremely afraid of spiders. You go to a gas station and see a spider crawling on your gas tank.

A.) You ignore the spider.
B.) You smush it with an object or tissue.
C.) You get a lighter and try setting it on fire.

If you pick C, you're certainly in the wrong -- and not alone.

Last Tuesday morning,  a man went to a Mobil station at 10 Mile and Van Dyke in Center Line and was filling his gas tank. And yes, he's terribly fearful of spiders, Taryn Asher of Fox 2 reports.

So, when he spotted one on his gas tank, he got out a lighter and tried setting it on fire.

Mission accomplished. He also set the gas pump on fire.  He quickly grabbed a fire extinguisher and put out the fire. Asher calls it his first action "moronic move."

Fox 2 reports that the man's car was barely damaged and insurance is expected to take care of the damaged pump at the station. He's not charged by police.
