Moosejaw to Open 'Seasonal Shop' Downtown Near Permanent Store

Moosejaw will open a "seasonal shop" on Friday for the upcoming holidays at 1441 Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit, just one block north of its permanent shop, the retailer announced Wednesday.

The retailer announced in a press release that the new shop will feature a wide assortment of The North Face and Patagonia brands.

The retailer said it partnered with Bedrock Real Estate Services to secure the 4,000 square foot space through the holiday season.

“The dedicated space will allow us to carry many more styles in these brands than we could in a regular store that has 40 or 50 brands,” Nick Rau, Moosejaw’s Director of Retail, said in a statement.  “Fans of The North Face and Patagonia will be able to see special, hard-to-find styles rarely seen in stores.”

The seasonal shop will be open seven days a week and will match Moosejaw’s permanent store hours, Monday-Wednesday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; Thursday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.; and Sunday, 12 p.m.-5 p.m.

Moosejaw’s current location, 1275 Woodward Avenue, originally started as a pop-up shop in November 2012, and became permanent in March 2013.
