Clinton Township deputy clerk seeks PPO against Clinton Township Clerk

Macomb Daily: He has been the subject of controversy for months after several workers accused him of bullying behavior and creating a hostile work environment. The township board has asked him to resign and when he didn’t, the request was forwarded to Gov. Rick Snyder, who asked the state attorney general’s office to render an opinion.

The township also passed a resolution ordering Fitzgerald to stay out of his office to avoid contact with the employees, and to work out of another area in the township hall.
