Winner of $5,000 Lottery Ticket is Murdered in Detroit

December 30, 2015, 12:09 PM

Police are looking into the possibility that robbery was the motive in the fatal shooting of a Detroit man Tuesday.

Police think he may have been targeted because he had recently won $5,000 on a scratch-off lottery ticket and made the mistake of making it public, Randy Wimbley of Fox 2 reports.

Neighbors found him in his SUV on Euclid and Beaubien around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, shot in the head.
