Good News for Art Lovers: Poll Finds 69% Back DIA Tax Millage
So far, if polls are any indicator, things are looking up for the future of the DIA.
A Detroit Free Press poll shows that 69 percent of the voters support a property tax millage that could raise as much as $23 million a year in the tri-county area.
The poll of 237 adults in the three counties shows 69% plan to vote for the millage, 25% will vote no, 2% are leaning toward "yes" and 4% are undecided.
Yesterday, between 250-300 supporters of the millage proposal gathered for a rally in New Center Park across from the Fisher Building.
