WDIV Scores Big on April Newscast Ratings

Results of the April ratings are in, and WDIV/Local 4 finds itself in a dominant position when it comes to local newscasts.


Channel 4 is No. 1 Monday through Friday for shows at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and for late news Monday through Sunday. At 5 p.m., WDIV scored a 6.0 household rating and 14 share. Fox 2 had 5.7 rating and 13 share; WXYZ recorded a 4.8 rating and 11 share.


Fox 2 lead in early morning new weekdays.

The Local 4 news team at 5 p.m. are Carmen Harlan, Devin Scillian, Chuck Gaidica and Bernie Smilovitz, with Ruth Spencer stepping in at 5:30 for Harlan.

 
One rating point equals 18,500 households; the share is the percentage of people who are watching television at that time.
