Ousted Inkster Judge Finishes First In Tuesday's Election

Despite being kicked off the bench for misconduct, former Inkster 22nd District Judge Sylvia James placed first in Tuesday's vote, according to results from the Wayne County Board of Elections.
She won't get to run in November. The top two vote-getters, Byron Nolen and Sabrina Johnson, will face off in November for the $138,272-a-year job James held since 1988.
James was removed from the bench last month by the Michigan Supreme Court.
