PNC Bank Gives $100,000 for Detroit Historical Museum Project on '67 Riots

The 1967 rioting in Detroit was a defining moment for a racially diviided city.

To commemorate that turning point, the Detroit Historical Museum is putting on an exhibit and project, and the Detroit Historical Society has launched a $4.4-million campaign to support it. PNC Bank's regional president, Ric DeVore, stepped forward Thursday with a $100,000 commitment to The "Looking Back to Move Forward" project after a panel discussion on the topic at the Mackinac Policy Conference, reports Sherri Welch of Crain's Detroit Business.

DeVore urges other businesses to join in support.
