Dearborn Girl, 2, Dies After Being Pulled From Neighbor's Pool

 A 2-year-old girl Dearborn girl died on Saturday after falling into a pool and being hospitalized for about 24 hours, WWJ radio reports.

Dearborn police say the girl died Saturday around 11:15 a.m., WWJ reports.

Authorities say that the  girl and her 3-year-old brother went outside while their parents were sleeping, climbed a link fence and got into a neighbor’s yard, according to WWJ. The little girl got into the pool, the station reports. The homeowner found the girl and  performed before police arrived. She was taken to the hospital.

Her brother was not hurt. .

“This is a tragic situation for all the families involved,” said Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad in a media release. “The Dearborn Police Department asks that you respect the family’s privacy.”
