Detroit Vegan Soul, a plant-based restaurant that opened in 2013 in West Village on Detroit's east side, is opening a second location in the city, Detroit Eater reports.
Brenna Houck of Eater Detroit reports that the restaurant is opening a location on Grand River near Auburn Street in the northwest Detroit neighborhood of Grandmont Rosedale.
The owners plan to move into the space formerly occupied by Blue Moon Ice Cream shop, near Pages Bookshop. Renovation has yet to begin, Eater reports.
Co-owner Kirsten Ussery-Boyd tells Eater:
"At this time, our goal is to be in the position for a soft opening late this year around December and fully open next year."
