It's been a while since Detroiters have seen actors and film crews running around the city.

Now, several productions have plans to film here including Comedy Central's new show, "Detroiters," "Tranformers 5" and an unnamed movie on the Detroit riots.

"Detroiters," executive produced by Saturday Night Live alum Jason Sudeikis, is scheduled to begin filming next Tuesday, according to someone familiar with the show's production. The show is expected to film in places like Masonic Temple in Detroit as well as in spots in Dearborn.

All 10 episodes for the first season are expected to be filmed in Detroit.

Paramount's "Transformers 5," which is going by the code name "E75" during production, is scheduled to film on Friday downtown around Cafe D’Mongo’s Speakeasy and other sites at Griswold and Fort Street in the "p.m. hours," according to a flyer from Paramount Pictures distributed to downtown office buildings. Sidewalks on the east side of Shelby Street will be closed to pedestrians from 6 a.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday.

Shooting for that action sequel, directed again by Michael Bay, took place Monday at the Packard Plant on East Grand Boulevard, Twitter photos show. Other locations will include the Michigan Central Train Station and MGM Grand Casino, according to a site for celebrity-watchers called On Location Vacations.

Mark Wahlberg is reprising his role in the last Transformers movie, joined by Anthony Hopkins, Isabel Moner and Josh Duhamel.

A movie on the Detroit 1967 riots by the Oscar-winning team of director Kathryn Bigelow and screenwriter Mark Boal will also film in Detroit, Julie Hinds reports at the Detroit Free Press. Production begins this summer, with some scenes shot in Hamtramck and others in Boston
