Sushi options are slowly growing in downtown Detroit.

Currently, the best places to get sushi downtown include Townhouse Detroit, Fishbone's and the cafeteria at the One Detroit Center building on Woodward (Mon-Wed-Fri.).

Now, comes this.

Maru Sushi & Grill, a Michigan-based restaurant chain that serves a variety of sushi and Japanese fusion dishes, plans to open in the fall in the former Federal Reserve Building at 160 W. Fort St., Angelique Harrison writes at DBusiness. Tenants there now include The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press

The menu will include: soups, salads, noodle dishes, sashimi, nigiri, specialty sushi rolls, a selection of Japanese and local whiskey, Japanese-inspired craft cocktails, green tea crème brûlée and matcha ice cream, the magazine reports.
