Some people just can't resist bragging on Facebook.

Michael Brown, 33, of Rochester is one of those people.

On July 2, around 2:15 a.m. Brown left the Sagebrush Cantina in Lake Orion, got on his motorcycle and started to torque his brakes and create smoke. Police pulled up and a high-speed ensued. He eventually got away. Police cut off the chase after they lost sight of the motorcycle, WDIV's Mara MacDonald reports.

That would have probably been the end of that.

But WDIV reports that someone sent police a screen shot of Brown's Facebook posting in which he bragged about getting away from police and going as fast as 140 m.p.h.

The posting said:

“cop seen me put his car right at my foot flicked his lights as soon as I heard his car hit park I dropped into gear and disappeared 45 sec 140 in a 35 mph #ftp #nojailthisweekend #everyonelovedit.”

“Not only is it a confession,” Lake Orion Police Chief Jerry Narsh told WDIV. “It also listed info that realistically the motorist and the officer would know and that makes it then evidence.”

On Tuesday, Brown turned himself in after learning there was a warrant out for his arrest.
