Mark Wahllberg, who is in Detroit filming “Transformers: The Last Knight," was talking up Detroit at a VIP preview party Wednesday night for his Wahlburgers restaurant in Greektown, according to a video produced by the Detroit Free Press.

He said Detroit reminds him of Boston, his hometown: Great sports city and very family-oriented.

A reporter then asked the 45-year-old actor, who reportedly lives in California:

"What would it take you to make you move to Detroit?"

"My wife's permission, she makes all the rules," he said.

Wahlberg, who posed for photos with Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, said:

"We're pushing to get more incentives here so we can make more films, more television. We're going to open up a lot more restaurants. So I'll be here quite often."

The Greektown restaurant at 569 Monroe St. is the first of six Walhburgers to open in Michigan.

JC Reindl of the Detroit Free Press reports that no exact date has been announced for the opening of the Greektown restaurant, but it's expected to be soon.

The chain was started by Wahlberg and his brothers Donnie and Paul in 2011.
