Meijer Steps Up its Game: Home Grocery Deliveries Start Soon

Meijer, the Grand Rapids-based retailer, is jumping into on-demand digital shopping.

On Sept. 15, it launches a home grocery delivery service in Detroit and southeastern Michigan. Shoppers, using the app will be able to select from 55,000 items from one of 25 Detroit-area Meijer stores offering the service (See map.) 

Customers can choose a one-hour delivery window,  24 hours a day, seven days a week. 

“This is yet one more option to make shopping at Meijer easier for our customers,” said Michael Ross, vice president of Digital Shopping and Customer Marketing.

Using the service via an app from Shipt requires a $99 annual subscription for unlimited free deliveries on orders over $35.
