Saturday Night Live alum Tim Meadows, a native of the Detroit area, made some cracks about Detroit on "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" on Wednesday night.

"I grew up in a rough part of Detroit," Meadows told Colbert. "You may have heard of it. It's called Detroit."

Earlier, he told Colbert about going to Detroit with his family this summer.

"I grew up in Detroit," he said, adding after hearing no applause: "Thank you very much."

Colbert remarked: "We usually have somebody from Detroit here. I apologize."

Meadows: "Not this time. They're in prison somewhere, probably."

Meadows said he saw "a bunch of baseball games, watched the Tigers play."

His talk about Detroit starts at the 3:10 mark on the video below.
