There's so many cute ways to write a story about stolen pickles. We won't bother.
More than $13,000 in pickles are reported unaccounted for at the St. Aubin offices and warehouse of McClure's in Detroit, reports Mike Martindale of the Detroit News.
Detroit Police are investigating.
“The people at McClure’s became concerned when they checked inventory and couldn’t account for thousands of dollars in missing pickles — and also cases of their Bloody Mary Mix and chips,” Detroit Police Detective Mike Pacteles tells the paper.
Some of the product has been found on the shelves of five party and grocery stores near the warehouse. The pickles are selling far below the retail price.
