Shock and Reward Follow Storeowner Killing

Faraj "Fred" Dally helped out when customers at his party store on the city's west side when they were were low on cash.

He never left the tough neighborhood along Dexter. 

And he gave folks a second chance when they got rowdy in his store.

Now an association Dally worked with is offering the community a chance to come forward with information in his Tuesday morning slaying.

"There are 50,000 good reasons to come forward," said Auday Arabo, president and CEO of the Associated Food and Petroleum Dealers, at a news conference Wednesday outside of the Medicine Chest party store on the corner of Dexter Avenue and West Boston Boulevard. After Dally's death, the group put together a $50,000 dollar reward for tips leading to an arrest.
