Ex-Gov. Jennifer Granholm Named CNN Political Commentator

Former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm will show up regularly on CNN 

The station has named her a senior political commentator, reports Adweek. She is one of nine political commentators and contributors who will be added. Others include David Fahrenthold, the Washington Post reporter who uncovered details about the Trump Foundation and broke the Billy Bush/Donald Trump story. He will be a CNN contributor. 

"Excited to be contributing my voice to CNN," Granholm tweets Tuesday. 

Granholm, who lives in California, is active in the Democratic party. She supported Hillary Clinton in 2016.

She led Michigan from 2003-11 after serving as the state attorney general from 1998-2002.

After leaving public office, she joined the faculty at the University of California-, teaching law and public policy. She was named a senior research fellow at the Berkeley Energy and Climate Institute. 

She serves on several boards and is the co-author of "A Governor’s Story: The Fight for Jobs and America’s Economic Future."
