Carrie Heist-Jarvi and her husband decided to go a weekend getaway to Detroit. They're from Holly.

On Saturday afternoon, they lunched at the Mercury Burger Bar on Michigan Avenue in Corktown and left their 9-year-old Yorkie Chihuahua, Wilfred, in the car parked at curbside nearby.

About 40 minutes later, they discover someone had broken into the vehicle and made off with the luggage and dog, reports Taryn Asher of Fox 2.

"He was in his carrier case. I had my luggage in there, backpacks and coolers in back seat. There was a coat over his cage; you would not know he was in there," Heist-Jarvi tells the station. "I'm just thinking, wow, how are you going to find him? He could be anywhere at this point."
