Former Detroit narcotics officer David Hansberry got hit with a 13-year in prison sentence in federal court in Detroit on Wednesday for conspiring to use phony drug busts to rip off dope dealers, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Hansberry had pleaded with U.S. District Judge Stephen Murphy for leniency. His co-defendant, ex-Detroit cop Bryan Watson also faces sentencing. Both were convicted by a federal jury.

Hansberry, 34, and Watson, 47, used their ill-gotten money to buy a Cadillac Escalade, a Corvette, an Aston Martin and a Mercedes Benz, prosecutors said, John Wisely of the Freep reported. Hansberry also spent thousands of dollars each week as a VIP guest at the Ace of Spades strip club.
