Pedestrian Dies in Southfield After Being Hit by Ambulance Before Dawn

A man staying at the EZ Rest Motel on Telegraph Road just south of 9 Mile Road in Southfield was killed while crossing the street there Monday around 5 a.m.

The victim first was hit by a Chevrolet Impala abut an hour earlier, reports Fox 2's Robin Murdoch, but a motel manager said he just seemed shaken.

Then he reportedly say near the road and darted in front of an ambulance taking a patient to Beaumont. Police say the pedestrian, described as in his late 20s, ran out in front of the vehicle.
